Who says the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show can’t inspire a girl to more than just hitting the gym a few extra hours? The Passion segment opened and the bold, beautiful colors were perfect! (See the inspiration video here.)

When angel Candice Swanepoel hit the runway in this piece that was hand embroidered in India I fell in love! It is the perfect blend of bright and feminine, what girl wouldn’t want a party themed after the most expensive piece in the show?

I would start by sending out a feminine invitation with a neon accent and envelope liner. I would also enclose some fun neon confetti for guests to know they are bound for a fun time! If you’re looking for a neon DIY look these mason jars are perfect and 100 Layer Cake even walks you though how to make them here.

Since Brooklyn Bride posted this fabulous neon tablescape September 12 I have been looking for a way to incorporate it into a blog! I love the lime runner and hot pink and orange accents on the plates and banquette. Make fun place cards with neon colored pencils, and don’t forget to set you cake on a bright cake stand. You could even put a fun flower on your cake for it to look like Candice’s shoes!

Don’t forget that you’re the host and you must dress to impress. While I’m not suggesting you have a hand embroidered piece sent to you front India, try a statement necklace to tie you into your event. All you have left to do is have a happy VS Fashion Show inspired event!

How amazing is this gorgeous invitation we found this morning? It’s so amazing we have to blog about it. (If you don’t know what Pinterest is, then you need to request an invite to join the site ASAP, it’s fabulous!)  With a black and white stripe liner, and shades of red, pink and green we fell in love, and set out to create wedding inspiration from this invitation suite. We suggest tying the stripe into everything from the bouquet to favors, cocktails, the grooms bow tie and even linens. Gold is in and we love this fabulous flatware, salt and pepper serving pieces and vases for the centerpieces. The gold ribbons on the cocktail straws will add another touch of gold to the event. Lush peonies are perfect for floral arrangements and the brides bouquet, and adding fun berries and textures to the grooms boutonniere adds an additional pop of texture. Don’t forget the cake, and why not add stripes to it as well. There’s not one thing that wasn’t touched by black and white stripes, and we love it! What do you think?

Today’s inspiration came from this gorgeous Michelle Armas painting. The shades of forrest green, blush pink and sun-kissed tan are to die for, and I knew they would make the perfect wedding inspiration. With the texture and movement in the painting I love the lace texture on this gorgeous cake, and the movement in the trees for an outside ceremony. I love how the chairs are set on two sides of a circle, under the canopy of trees. I would go with a shade of pink for a more traditional bridesmaid dress, or shades of ivory and cream for a more non-traditional look. Bouquets of pale pink, white and soft greenery fit the occasion. If it weren’t 110 degrees in Tulsa, Oklahoma today I would plan this wedding for tomorrow!

With recent news of Ralph Lauren’s Daughter, Dylan, tying the knot of course we were curious about her gown. Designed by her father, who “is said to have consulted his former protegée and grande dame of bridalwear Vera Wang on the design of the dress,” I quickly fell in love. The August issue of Vogue is not yet on news stands, but I took Dylan in her dress and created a gorgeous inspiration board on how I would have styled the event. I would start with this gorgeous 16.04 carat, oval diamond ring, they are a girls best friend, right. Gold is a gorgeous staple and perfect for details on the invitation, china and votive holders. I have a new found love bow ties, they are a southern staple after all, so I would have the gentlemen wear them in pink. I would match the ruffles of the cake to the ruffles on her train, decorate the tables and create bouquets out of peonies, garden roses and soft textures. Last, but not least I would finish off Dylan’s bridal look with these beautiful Badgley Mischka heels. We will have to wait to see what the affair was really like in the next issue of Vogue, but until then what do you think?
