WHAT'S YOUR BRIDAL STYLE?

Luxury Wedding Planning on Oahu's North Shore

Whats even better than a macaron? A macaron Christmas tree! When Sukaina came to me about giving the Macaron by Patisse Christina tree a makeover I was thrilled! Needless to say it was the sweetest project of the year!

If you wish you could recreate this tree look no further! We have curated your very one macaron Christmas tree straight from Amazon! Simple view our Amazon storefront HERE!

Happy Monday!

This weekend the hubby and I had quite the weekend! Everything from working in the yard to our hallway closet (more on that tomorrow) was on the honey-list! :)Another big item was to find fabric to reupholster my office chairs in.

I have a home office, and it is the first thing you see when you walk in our font door. Currently I have two large wingback chairs that are painted blue. When I say blue I mean… blue. Think smurf blue plus a little bit of that perfect Caribbean water blue… that would be my chairs. I got them for a bargain, but my husband hates them! I think he hates that it’s the first thing you see when you come in the door most.

Let me introduce you to High Fashion Home. For any home decorator/interior decor lover this store is your match! It’s 4 floors of every piece of furniture from modern to vintage and each floor contains rows and rows of bolts of fabric! I think we left there with enough swatches to make a small quilt, but I couldn’t stop! Swatches for possible drapes in the living room and our bedroom, accent pillows for our game room and yes, swatches for my chairs.

So, now the decision making begins. Do I want both chairs to be all one fabric, or do I want them to be a combination of fabrics? Do I want traditional or modern chairs? All of my office furniture is white with grey and white boxes to keep me organized. I have pink and coral accents so I want my chairs to be pretty neutral. Here’s a peek into a few of the swatches I snapped images on this weekend and a couple of chairs that I love.

Now… I just need to make a decision.

In Him,
Christina

This morning on Facebook I asked, “Would you rather be a snowman or gingerbread man?” and it seems snowman was the favorite. I started out thinking of a sophisticated snowman party with fun evening gowns and pretty china, but then I saw this adorable tutu! Let’s face it nothing is better than a tutu, so I switched gears to a kiddo friendly birthday party!

Change out your traditional holiday wreath to a fun snowman for your front door and hang some adorable snowman paper garland. For centerpieces turn ornaments into snowman and fill a glass jar. Kids love yummy goodies, theme them for the party and your set! Who doesn’t love cake; these cakeballs are the perfect bit size portion. Set up a hot chocolate station with “snowman arms,” “coal eyes,” “carrot noses,” and peppermint buttons” for an extra fun touch. For the birthday girl decorate her chair with a snowman slip cover and dress her in this precious tutu. Since I don’t have any kids does anyone have a kid I can borrow to throw them a snowman party?

Happy Holidays!

Yes, I am finally embracing the holidays (good thing because I have 2 1/2 weeks to shop for Christmas) and I had to start with glitter! Since I now have a fiance 🙂 we have a few holiday parties to go to and of course that means new outfits. I know I should be shopping for everyone else, but let’s face it what girl can resist a fabulous new dress.

For my first holiday look I’m beginning with this sequin-embellished dress from The Outnet and pairing it with this Betsy Johnson bow clutch from Bloomingdale’s and these adorable bow earrings.

If you are playing host for the evening don’t forget to decorate the outside of your venue. I’m a big fan of white lights, because a little go a long way, and I love this row of trees outside a brick building. If you’re on a budget, or you spent your budget on your outfit, this Etsy Garland is also very DIY friendly. Click on over to Etsy to order yours, or you can find some sparkle paper, cut some circles, squares, triangles or whatever shape you love and glue them to each side of a piece of string. Wah-Lah!

I’m a huge fan of edible gold, yes there is such a thing click here, so I would coat my entire cake with it! For favors send guests home with cute little gold reindeer! Happy Holidays!
